Base Camp: This would not be a good place to base camp.
Fall Colors: Poor - Mostly pine forest.
Navigation: From Breckenridge, CO to the southern end of Pennsylvania Creek head south on S Main Street toward W Adams Ave for 0.3 miles. Turn left onto CO-9 S/S Main Street and go 3.7 miles. Turn left onto Blue River Road and go 0.2 miles. Take the 3rd right onto Royal Drive and go 381 feet. Take the 1st left to stay on Royal Drive and go 348 feet. Take the 1st right onto Regal Circle and go 0.1 miles. Take the 1st left onto Coronet Drive and go 1.0 miles. You will be entering public lands and starting on the Pennsylvania Creek 4WD road.

From Breckenridge, CO. to the northern end of Pennsylvania Creek head south on S Main Street toward W Adams Ave for 0.3 miles. Turn left onto CO-9 S/S Main Street amd continue to follow CO-9 S for 1.3 miles. Turn left onto Wagon Road and go 0.3 miles. Turn left onto Indiana Creek Road and go 2.0 miles. You will come to an intersection, the road to the right is the Pennsylvania Creek 4WD road.

Starting from the intersection with Indiana Creek FR593 take FR611.3A which will cross Indiana Creek.

Just after the creek crossing you will come to an intersection. The road to the left is a power line maintenance road that follows the creek to the south. The correct road is to the right which has a steep up hill sectin. The road will continue to climb up along the side of Mount Argentine.

Finally the road will come to a sharp switchback that will make the remainder of the climb up to the saddle.

At the saddle you will come to an intersection. The road to the left is FR611.2A which only goes a half mile and ends. The right turn is the connection to FR611. As you head down from the saddle to Pennsylvania Creek you will do four switchbacks. Keep and eye out for traffic coming up, including mountain bikes. Once at the bottom near the creek, FR611 will head northwest following the creek.

You will pass a few campsites along this section. After about 1.75 miles you will leave public lands and connect with Coronet Drive as you enter the residential area of Blue River.
