Base Camp: Not a good area to base camp.

Navigation: From Nederland, CO head west on W 2nd Street toward N Jefferson Street 0.3 miles. Continue to follow CO-72 W for 8.0 miles. Turn right onto Gold Hill Rd and go 4.1 miles. Turn left onto Switzerland Trail and go 2.2 miles. Turn right onto FR460.

Description:
Tuscarora Cutoff is a short spur off of the Switzerland Trail road. It only goes a short distance before ending. It once was a steep road down to Lefthand Creek and then into Tuscarora Gulch, on the north side of Lefthand Creek.
