From County Road 187 the Herring Park road heads south across grazing lands. Within a half mile you will come to an intersection. Just past the intersection you will pass through a fence line anc then drop down to cross a spur of Cow Gulch. The road goes due south for mile before turning west. Here is another intersection. Going straight will take you up into Bull Gulch and then back to the Bull Gulch Cutoff road.

Take the left and cross Bull Gulch. You will continue south again into some sparsely forested hills. After crossing a fence line you will come to another intersection. To the left is FR174.B, which goes about a mile and ends at private property. Take the left and continue on the Herring Park road. You will head east and then south where you will enter the forest. The road will come into a long open meadow as it continues southeast.

The next intersection you come to is with FR174.C to the left. This spur runs northeast for about 2.5 miles to end at private property. The right will continue south back into the forest and pass two dispersed camp sites.
